
Caitlyn M. Bender
AssociateCaitlyn Bender is an associate attorney practicing in the areas of civil litigation, real estate, workers compensation, family law, elder law, and estate planning. Caitlyn works primarily in the firmโs Leesburg Office; however, she represents clients across Northern Virginia.
Caitlyn is a Northern Virginia native. She obtained her undergraduate degree at the University of Delaware, where she received an Honors Bachelor of Arts with Distinction in Political Science. Her concentration was in Law, Politics, and Theory, and she also had minors in History and Legal Studies. Her thesis, entitled Juvenile Recidivism and Policy: A comprehensive look at the United Statesโ approach to punishing juveniles, was published in 2018. During her undergraduate, she was also on the board of the University of Delaware Mock Trial Team. After graduation, Caitlyn worked as a legal assistant where she learned more about estate planning and the legal field.
Caitlyn went on to receive her law degree from William & Mary Law School, where she served as the Executive Editor of the William and Mary Bill of Rights Journal, the academic chair of the Womenโs Law Society, and the Auction Coordinator for the Public Service Fund. Caitlyn also served as a student attorney for the Domestic Violence Clinic at William & Mary Law School. During her first summer in law school, she interned for Justice Chafin at the Supreme Court of Virginia. She also conducted research with Professor Neal Devins regarding holdovers in governmental agencies, and Professor Adam Gershowitz regarding Brady violations.
Caitlyn is a member of the Loudoun Bar Association and the Fairfax Bar Association.
When away from the office, Caitlyn enjoys baking, reading, and watching collegiate and professional sports.
