Hannane Amanpour
AssociateHannane Amanpour is an associate attorney based in the firmโs Fairfax office practicing in the areas of family/domestic relations law and business law. She represents clients across Northern Virginia.
Hannane received her undergraduate degree from George Mason University in Government and International Politics with a concentration in International and Comparative Politics. She received her law degree from George Washington University. During her time at GW, she served as the Senior Articles Editor for the GW Journal of Energy and Environmental Law, where she was honored to have her Student Note selected for publication in Volume 13.1 of the Journal. Hannane was also a student attorney for Rising for Justice where she represented clients from underserved communities in DC Superior Court in landlord/tenant and other housing disputes. Additionally, she worked as a student volunteer for the Family Law Pro Bono Project assisting pro se litigants from underserved communities with various family court matters, and was a student volunteer for the Volunteer Income Tax Assistance program, assisting with tax preparation for qualified individuals. Hannane also worked tutoring other law school students in Legislation and Regulation.
Before attending law school, Hannane co-owned and operated a local moving and storage business for several years. Prior to that, she spent eight years in the auto industry, working in service for luxury car lines. Hannane is a lifelong advocate for human rights and dedicates much of her free time to the Organization of Iranian American Communities meeting with public officials, handling media relations, and speaking at public events advocating for a free, democratic, secular, and non-nuclear Iran.
